Ramadan Mubarak to you all. We would like to thank each and everyone of our donors and followers for supporting us during this blessed month of fasting. No matter how little or big - every donation is a precious gift to all the people we support through our appeals and projects across the globe. Even if you have not been able to make a donation this year but have helped spread our charity name we are truly grateful. But as you know we still have hugh problems across the world especially in East Africa which is high priority. We hope that your generosity will continue throughout the rest of the up coming months as we need to send as much food aid, water and medical supplies to Somalia in the next few days, weeks and months to come.

With the current global food shortage, it is estimated that 1 billion people in the world go hungry each night.

Already somewhere in the world a person starves to death every 3.6 seconds and 3/4 of them are children under the age of five

Almost 1/5 of the world’s population (approx 1.32 billion people) live in areas where water is scarce.

Lack of clean drinking water and sanitation leads to water borne infections and even death.

This Ramadan we are asking you to help us to continue our projects around the globe. Our emphasis is on the following:

MGR East Africa Appeal 2011

Some 10 million people are at risk in the Horn of Africa as a combination of failed rains and soaring global food prices has left people living in remote areas - more than half of them children - without enough food and water and at risk of malnutrition.

Ethiopia faces its worst drought for a decade with an estimated 3.2m people in need of emergency aid. MGR has launched a major humanitarian response in Ethiopia to feed tens of thousands of people and get clean water to remote communities.
