MGRs PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND MOTHERS VICTIMS OF WAR ON GAZA.

MGRs PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND MOTHERS VICTIMS OF WAR ON GAZA.
This project which MGR undertook back in 2004, is now been repateated as the terrors of war is becoming ever so apparent on the children of Gaza.

MGRs programmes are held in Beit Lahia Village in the north of Gaza Strip. This village was among the areas most affected by war on Gaza. The local symposium held titled "Impacts of War on Mothers and their Children". Mothers attended the symposium discussed with the counsellor the problems suffered by their children as a result of war, mainly nightly bedwetting, disobedience, biting of fingernails, deterioration in educational achievement. During the symposium, the counsellor provided counselling for mothers on how to manage these problems. As the counsellor herself is from Beit Lahia, she knows the area very well and the sufferings of people of that village. She has a long experience acquired from her work with other organisations in several past projects on effects of violence on children and domestic violence.
